This post contains affiliate links. I am a paying VIP member of The ClickBank Profit Club, and if you join or upgrade through my links, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Read my full disclosure.

If you have been trying to make affiliate marketing work for a while, you already know how it usually goes.

You find a new idea, you set a few things up, you work hard for a week or two, and then you hit the messy part. The part where you are not sure what matters most, what to do next, or whether you are even building the right thing.

That is the loop I was stuck in.

I'm not new to this. I've generated sales through ClickBank, CJ Affiliate, and Amazon, and I've collected leads through blogging, content marketing, and solo ads. But for a long time, my effort was scattered. Every time I looked up, I had more tabs open, more notes, and more half-finished attempts.

In September 2026, I joined The ClickBank Profit Club and upgraded to VIP. In this ClickBank Profit Club review, I'll share why I joined, how the program works, what it costs, what I like, what I don't, and who I think it's really for.

One thing up front: I'm still building and testing my setup. I won't share income numbers I can't verify, and I won't promise results I haven't achieved yet. This is an honest first-look review, and I'll update it as I go.

The Real Problem Wasn't Traffic

Most people blame traffic. I did too.

But the more I watched myself, the more I realised the first problem was not traffic. It was the lack of a clear build order.

If you don't know what comes first, you end up trying to do everything at once:

  • Pick an offer
  • Build a funnel
  • Write emails
  • Learn traffic
  • Set up tracking
  • Create content
  • Fix your tech

It's too much. So you either burn out, or you keep restarting.

I wrote about this pattern in detail in 8 ClickBank Mistakes That Keep Beginners Stuck. Almost every mistake on that list comes back to the same root cause: no structure.

That's what I was looking for when I found The ClickBank Profit Club.

What Is The ClickBank Profit Club?

The ClickBank Profit Club (often shortened to CBPC) is a membership program for affiliate marketers, created by John Thornhill.

According to his sales page, John is a former factory worker from the UK who has been teaching online business since 2004. He describes himself as a 9x ClickBank Platinum Vendor and says he has helped more than 3,000 people start an online business.

The main idea behind CBPC is simple, and it's what caught my attention.

In traditional affiliate marketing, you send traffic to a vendor's page. If someone signs up, they join the vendor's email list, not yours. You might earn one commission, but the vendor gets to follow up with that person forever.

CBPC flips this. You get your own done-for-you funnel, and the leads you generate go to your own email list. You're building an asset you control, while the program supplies the funnel, the follow-up, the training, and the support.

How It Works: The 3 Setup Steps

Once you join, the welcome page lays out the setup in three steps. John also asks you to watch a short 90-second video first, so you know exactly what to do before you click anything.

ClickBank Profit Club review: the 3 setup steps on the welcome page

Here's what each step involves, and what I noticed while going through them:

  1. Create your ClickBank account (about 2 minutes). This is the account where your commissions are tracked and paid. If you already have a ClickBank account, like I did, you can skip this step and go straight to Step 2.
  2. Activate your funnel (about 30 seconds). The page calls this "the most important step," and I agree. You submit your details, and your personal ClickBank Profit Club link is connected to your funnel. You need to be logged in to activate it. If you skip this step, the rest of the system has nothing to send traffic to.
  3. Get traffic. With your funnel live, you head into the members area for the traffic training, tools, and next steps. This is also where you see how John can help drive traffic to members.

One practical tip: don't enter the members area and start the traffic training until your funnel is activated in Step 2. The welcome page warns about this too. It's an easy step to rush past when you're excited to get started.

In practice, there is more to building the full system than these three steps. During my own setup, I also went through John's training on email marketing and worked through the parts involving ClickBank, my autoresponder (I use AWeber), the funnel, and the email follow-up.

That's not a complaint. The initial setup really is quick. But building a proper affiliate system, one that captures leads and follows up with them, takes longer, and it's better to know that before you start.

What Your Member Profile Page Shows

After setup, your profile page becomes your home base. It shows three things that matter:

  • Your CB Profit Club link. This is a ClickBank tracking link (it starts with hop.clickbank.net). It's the link you share, and it's how ClickBank knows a lead or sale came from you.
  • Your member details. Including who referred you to the club.
  • Your member level. Free or VIP, plus a shortcut to get more traffic.

There's also a short video on the profile page where John explains how your referral link works, how lead generation works, and what happens when someone joins through you. If you're new, watch it before you start promoting. It answers a lot of the questions beginners usually have.

Tip from my own experience: before you share your link anywhere, open it in a private or incognito browser window and check that the page shows you as the person who referred the visitor. It takes one minute and confirms your link is tracking correctly.

What You Get as a Member

Here's what stood out to me inside the program:

  • A done-for-you funnel. It's built, branded, and hosted for you, so you don't need to design landing pages from scratch.
  • Leads go to your own list. This is the core difference from most affiliate programs.
  • Live training. John runs regular live sessions, such as the Wednesday Profit Clinic, where he walks through updates, strategies, and member questions. Replays are available in the members area.
  • Support. There is a support team and a CBPC Action Coach, described as a private support assistant for members.
  • Multiple ways to earn. Commissions can come from upgrades, upsells, and additional products inside the membership, not just one front-end sale.

There are also optional extra products inside the members area, such as The ClickBank Profit Blueprint (a 212-page action guide with a 30-day plan) and higher-level programs like The 100 Club and the Coaching Profit System. These are separate purchases, and you don't need them to get started. I haven't bought them, so I can't review them here.

ClickBank Profit Club Pricing: Free vs VIP

This is the part many reviews skip, so let me be clear.

Joining is free. No credit card is required to start.

VIP is a paid upgrade. At the time of writing, it costs $495 per year. The main difference is higher commission rates, plus extra features such as done-for-you traffic, done-for-you member recruitment, priority support, and early access to new offers.

Here's how the commission rates compare, based on the upgrade page at the time of writing:

ClickBank Profit Club commissions free vs VIP: Upsell 1 50% vs 100%, Upsell 2 40% vs 75%, upgrade sales 50% vs 75%

Rates and prices may change. Always check the current offer inside the members area before you buy.

Why I Upgraded to VIP

I started as a free member. After getting to know the program better, I saw real value in the structure of the training and the tools on offer, so I upgraded to VIP in September 2026.

Here's my own profile page, showing my VIP member level (personal details hidden):

I see the $495 as an investment in learning and in the marketing system I want to build. The higher commission rates and the extra VIP benefits, including traffic from John's rotator, were part of the appeal.

But I want to be honest: I can't yet tell you whether VIP has paid for itself. For me, value for money should be judged by the benefits I actually use, not by promised income. I'll update this review once I have real numbers to share.

What I Like About The ClickBank Profit Club

  1. It gives you a clear build order. In affiliate marketing, it's easy to get lost in too many strategies and tools. I like that CBPC tells you what to learn and set up first. That alone removes a lot of the confusion that kept me stuck for years.
  2. You build your own email list. Instead of sending all your hard work to a vendor's list, you keep the leads. That's the asset that keeps working long after the first click.
  3. You're not doing it alone. The live sessions and support mean you can ask questions instead of guessing. After years of trying to figure things out on my own, this matters to me more than any feature.
  4. You can start for free. You can see how the program works before spending anything. That's a fair way to begin.

What I Don't Like (or What to Watch Out For)

No program is perfect, and a review that only lists positives isn't worth much. Here's what you should know:

  1. There's still a learning curve. Even with the guidance, you need to understand some technical pieces: ClickBank, email marketing, funnels, and tracking. If you are completely new, expect the setup to take time.
  2. VIP isn't cheap. $495 per year is a real cost, especially if you're just starting out. Paying for VIP doesn't guarantee you'll earn it back.
  3. There are more upgrades inside. Once you're a member, you'll see offers for further products and higher tiers. Some people will find them useful, but you'll need discipline to buy only what you'll actually use.
  4. Your results still depend on you. The funnel and training help, but you still need to show up, follow the steps, and bring traffic. The program can't do that part for you.
  5. It's too early for me to judge every feature. I haven't been a member long enough to test everything properly. Keep that in mind as you read this review.

Who The ClickBank Profit Club Is For

Based on my experience so far, CBPC is a good fit if you:

  • Want a clear plan instead of another random tactic
  • Are tired of half-finished funnels
  • Know you need to build an asset, a list and follow-up, not just chase clicks
  • Are willing to learn the basics and stay consistent
  • Want guidance and support instead of learning everything alone

Who It's Not For

It's probably not a good fit if you:

  • Want fast income without learning the fundamentals of affiliate marketing
  • Don't have time to follow the training, complete the setup, and test things consistently
  • Are thinking about buying VIP just because of the commission rates, without understanding the work involved
  • Can't comfortably afford the cost of upgrades right now

A paid membership is not a guarantee of success. If you're looking for a magic button, this isn't it. It's a structured build.

My Advice If You're Thinking About Joining

If a close friend asked me whether they should join, here's what I'd tell them:

  1. Start with the free membership and see how the program works for yourself.
  2. Don't rush into VIP just because you see bigger commission percentages.
  3. Understand the costs, the benefits, and the work involved before you upgrade.
  4. Only spend what you can comfortably afford.

I'm still learning myself, and I won't promise you results I haven't achieved yet. But if structure and guidance are what you've been missing, it's worth a look.

Final Thoughts: My ClickBank Profit Club Review So Far

I didn't join The ClickBank Profit Club because I thought it would make me rich overnight. I joined because I was tired of scattered effort, and I wanted a clear path, a list I own, and people to learn from.

So far, the structure is exactly what I was missing. Whether it pays off financially is something only time and consistent work will tell. I'll keep building, keep testing, and share what I learn here on the blog.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is The ClickBank Profit Club free?

Yes, you can join for free without a credit card. VIP is an optional paid upgrade that, at the time of writing, costs $495 per year and unlocks higher commission rates and extra features.

Is The ClickBank Profit Club legit?

In my experience, it's a real membership program with a working members area, training, live sessions, and support, run by John Thornhill, an established ClickBank vendor. That said, being legitimate doesn't mean it will work for everyone. Your results depend on your own effort and situation.

Do I need to be a VIP member to earn commissions?

No. Free members can earn commissions too, but at lower rates. VIP members earn higher percentages on most commission types.

Is The ClickBank Profit Club good for complete beginners?

It can be, because it gives you a clear structure and a done-for-you funnel. But beginners should expect a learning curve, especially with ClickBank, email marketing, and funnels.

How long does it take to see results?

There's no fixed timeline. It depends on how much time you put in, your traffic sources, and how consistently you follow the training. Be cautious of anyone who promises fast, guaranteed results.

Results vary and are not guaranteed. Prices and commission rates mentioned are correct at the time of writing and may change. Please read our Disclaimer for more details.
